About Us
Dr. Ethan Bloomer, DVM
Dr. Bloomer is thrilled to provide ultrasound services to veterinary practices throughout North Carolina. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Bloomer moved to Gainesville, Florida where he graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Since then, he has practiced at multiple small animal hospitals in Georgia and North Carolina in order to provide medical and surgical care to dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, small mammals, and even patients at a zoo and an aquarium. Most recently, Dr. Bloomer has been a relief veterinarian for practices in the Triad and Triangle regions. He currently lives in Graham, North Carolina with his long-time partner (and human doctor) Celeste along with their two chaotic cats, Ember and Beefcake.
Dr. Bloomer has had a strong passion for ultrasound ever since veterinary school, where he completed a two week, 1-on-1 ultrasound rotation with direct guidance from board certified Radiologists and residents at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. He has since attended multiple continuing education courses to expand on his training and has performed countless abdominal ultrasounds through the course of his private practice and relief work careers.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Bloomer enjoys traveling the world with his partner, watching (and attempting to play) soccer, hiking, reading, and playing video games.
Why Choose Us?
Affordable, High-Quality Imaging
While working throughout North Carolina, Dr. Bloomer found that there is a large need for ultrasound services in the Triad, Triangle, and other regions of the state. Due to a limited number of specialists and referral locations, it can be extremely difficult to get a pet scheduled for an ultrasound in a timely manner. This also often involves the headache of convincing clients to pursue referral, scheduling at a referral facility, and delays in getting reports. Compounding this are the expensive costs, travel time, and stress that clients can experience throughout the referral process.
Our goal is to make obtaining an abdominal ultrasound for a pet easier. We will travel throughout North Carolina to your facility, making your hospital a one-stop-shop and keeping clients happy that they can talk to their own doctors at a place familiar to them and their pet. We will provide you with a full written report within 24 hours of an appointment, and Dr. Bloomer is always available to provide insight and initial findings right after scanning a patient. That means your hospital’s doctors can give clients some information about their pet immediately. If an unexpected mass or other abnormality appears while scanning, Dr. Bloomer is also happy to wait while your staff calls owners to obtain approval for sedation and FNA’s rather than force them to come back another day for another procedure. And if a patient’s case is complicated or your doctors prefer a specialist to review images, all studies can be sent to a Board-Certified Radiologist for a full report within 24 hours at an additional charge.
Our mobile ultrasound services brought right to your practice can lead to happy clients, happy doctors, and happy staff. Most importantly though, we are expanding your ability to offer affordable, advanced diagnostics to sick pets in order to keep them happy and healthy as well.
